Filmmaker Rohit Shetty, who has helmed several blockbuster films like the ‘Singham’ series, ‘Golmaal’ series, ‘Chennai Express’ and many more, recently expressed his interest in seeing a particular a biopic.

As per latest reports, Rohit was heard expressing his eagerness to see a biopic being made on tennis star Sania Mirza, while hosting his latest show with Karan Johar.

The fact that the sportswoman has continued to represent her country, India even after marrying a Pakistani cricketer, bowled him over and gave him goosebumps. Karan, who is co-hosting the show also showed his interest in the same project.

It was previously reported that director Farah Khan was working on Sania Mirza’s biopic starring Parineeti Chopra in the lead but the project could not materialize due to some reasons.

While it would be interesting to see the director venture into the biopic genre, Rohit is currently busy with his upcoming action-drama ‘Simmba’, starring Ranveer Singh.

The film is reportedly scheduled to release on December 28, 2018. #KhabarLive
