Agnyaathavaasi is all set for a new record for highest losses in the history of Telugu cinema.

The film’s theatrical rights were sold for around Rs. 125 crore and it is estimated to collect below Rs. 60 crore share in its full run.

The loss would have been even higher had it not been released for Sankranthi festival.

Trade and fans didn’t expect the film to perform this bad even after the verdict was out.

With no strong competition and festive season, trade predicted the film to collect a minimum of Rs. 80 crore share.

However, film buffs preferred to stay at home rather watching the mess created by star director Trivikram. But thanks to the festive crowds, the film was able to stay alive until Tuesday.

It has witnessed a huge fall immediately after the festival. Agnyaathavaasi ran into deficits on its day 8 in Nizam. With a negative share of Rs. 5 lakh on its eighth day, the film is heading for a historic disaster.

Buyers and third parties are now worried to run it in theaters as they could lose some money from the recovered amount.
