Power star and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan, who started his political journey in Telangana with a lot of fanfare and hype from Kondagattu, a pilgrim centre in Jagitial district on Monday, sought to create an impression that he is going to be a big political force in the Telugu states.

He went to Kondagattu in a convoy of over 150 vehicles comprising leaders and fans from Hyderabad. All through his route, he ensured that there were crowds everywhere greeting him.

The police, too, treated him as the VVIP and provided him a safe passage and security, which was denied to many serious Telangana activists like Kodandaram or even former Lok Sabha speaker Meira Kumar.

However, within hours, the social media has started digging into the background of all this hungama by the Jana Sena Party president.

According to sources, the entire supply of vehicles was done from Vijayawada along with the funding for the Chalo re chalo re chal tour.

“Going by the registration numbers of the cars and other vehicles, it was pretty evident from that they were from the neighbouring state. And a little more investigation also revealed that they belonged to the people close to the ruling Telugu Desam Party,” a source said.

“Even the fans and followers were from the neighbouring state,” they pointed out.

If Pawan does not display his independent character and put up an aggressive posture in the politics, his Jana Sena Party will end up a disaster.

And it will have to meet the same fate of his brother Chiranjeevi’s political party Praja Rajyam Party which he had wound up and merged with the Congress, say analysts. #KhabarLive
