The new startup ‘TailorMe’ is an online website that provides customized clothing designed, stitched and delivered at the customers’ doorstep. Any idea or innovation is born from our own experience. And this was true for Deepthi Vemula who saw her mother struggle to get good number of customers for her tailoring business.

On the other hand she also saw that there were many customers who were unable to get their style of clothes stitched in their area. And thus was born TailorMe, an online website that provides customized clothing designed, stitched and delivered at the customers’ doorstep.

Conceptualised by Deepthi, who is currently in her BTech final year programme at NIT Warangal, the startup is currently operational in small confined areas in Warangal, Karimnagar and Hyderabad. It has on-boarded 12 tailors in a span of a few months and has one designer.

“Whether it is rural or urban areas, one of the major problem with getting clothes stitched is to get the right kind of tailor who can not only stitch the clothes but also suggest good and latest designs.

And even if the customer has a design it is difficult to find a good tailor who will stitch it accordingly. Through TailorMe we are trying to bridge the gap between customers and tailors and are also helping designers to showcase their latest designs on the site,” Deepthi told #KhabarLive. Currently, the working of the startup is pretty simple wherein a person will come and collect the fabric from the customer and also take measurements and then get it dropped to the nearest tailor along with the design needed.

And after a span of 4-5 days the stitched cloth is delivered to the customer. Going ahead, Deepthi plans to develop the platform in a way that the customer can feed their measurement and just give the fabric to the collector. #KhabarLive
