A cold war of sorts is said to be brewing within the family of Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao over the announcement of the list of 105 candidates for the ensuring early elections to the state assembly.

According to highly placed sources in the party, KCR’s son and IT minister K T Rama Rao is not happy with several names that figured in the list and has conveyed his dissatisfaction to his father.

He is said to be bringing pressure on KCR to change some of the names in the list and accommodate others suggested by him in their place.

Sources said there were several aspirants for the TRS tickets and many of them had been running around KTR, since it is extremely difficult to approach KCR.

A lot of money also is learnt to have changed money in the process. KTR reportedly assured them that he would get them party tickets, depending on their winnability.

But with KCR coming out with a list of 105 names, all their names have been dashed. They are now running around KTR and requesting him to convince his father to make necessary changes in the list so that eligible candidates would get the tickets.

For example, Hyderabad Mayor Bonthu Rammohan, who has been nurturing Uppal constituency, expected that he would get the ticket this time, but KCR retained last time’s TRS candidate Bethi Subhash Reddy. Now, KTR is lobbying for Ramomohan.

However, KCR is said to be adamant. He reportedly told his son not to interfere in the selection of candidates.

“If any changes have to be made, I will take a call depending on my survey reports,” he is learnt to have told KTR, much to the latter’s anger. #KhabarLive
